Rattlesnake

Did you know rattlesnakes swallow their prey head first. They can also hunt in total darkness and still see. Or that their rattle grows every time it sheds.
It's prey is mice, rats, rodents, lizards, and small birds. The mice, rats, and rodents are small so it can eat them easier. The bird would be a little harder because it can fly. But the lizards will be even harder to swallow because of the harder covering around it.
The predator are the eagle and the human. Humans are the worse predator than the eagle because we bother and kill them all the time.
.    Their habitat is mostly dry places. But they can swim so it could be damp places too.
The longest rattlesnake is the  diamond back it grows up to 7 feet long. Their skins can be all different colors and sizes. They can have all different shapes on their skins.
Their babies start out at a foot  (12 inches) long. They  are born alive so not hatched from an egg. Up to 20 offspring are born. The mother or mate won't have anything to do with their young after they are born. They are in the viper family.
Well that is what I know about rattlesnakes. For more information go to the sites below.
